It hurts
When someone you love tells you that they´re pouring from an empty cup with you
What do you mean tired?
Do you find no rest here?
Did I not come to you with parched lips?
I dug until I found wells in us
And I did not use it to put out fires
I poured out cups of water for you
You, where the sun comes to set
You, for whom stars hold their breath
You, music in the flesh
I, your witness
Who told you that you´re alone?
Who asked you to fit where you no longer belong?
I take you in all forms
Even when growth leads you away from me
I´m not afraid of goodbyes
I just despise turned backs
I do not curse your flight
Am I not the one who bruised her knees,
gathering feathers for your wings?

I like this poem because it’s something that I’d love to say but can’t. Only you can put together and write out this emotion! Love it!
